This is a single shot version of a star wars-type blaster i made by mixing the sound of a cable tap with a gunshot.

File i recorded while at work on a telephone pole. I found a span of the steel cable they string between the poles that hold phone lines or cable lines. But this was just the bare span and nothing touching it. If you hit them with a wrench they make weird laser gun sounds. Recorded with my phone and cleaned up a bit in audacity. Use as you please. A responsive boom noise for whatever purpose, i personally have used it for an ice related weapon.

A collection of 8 plasma rifle-style single shots, inspired by the plasma rifles you hear in the terminator movies. Each shot is slightly different so there is some variety. I created them by layering single gun shots with other sounds and then running them through a granular synthesizer with some effects.

Synthesized sci-fi shooting. This is a one of the results of my attempt to complete a school assignment. We were supposed to create a gun or canon fire sound with audiogen synthesizer. Let say that this is my best result that could be "loosely" called a gun firealthough it has a sci-fi spin on it :-).

Another of the recordings i did on my phone at work of a steel cable at tension between phone poles. Hitting it with a wrench and making laser sounds. Cleaned up in audacity as the other one was. One is better than the other but can't remember which one i liked the best. Use as you please. If you use it for something and have the time to tell me where it ended up, that's cool. I made this sound by tapping a coca cola bottle with a crappy mono microphone and used various effects to make it sound cool. Probably good for all you game makers out there.

These are a series of gunshots that are supposed to resemble a laser sort of weapon, like an alien weapon. To make this, i used a filter that has a vocoder, polyvox, and talkbox, with distortion added. The initial sound i'm making is a chirping with my mouth and the filter does the rest. I think this works well on its own but it should work well mixed in with another sound effect if you choose to mix it. There is no reverb added or environment effects so its very flexible. Feel free to use it however you like. Credit is appreciated but not necessary. If you do want to give credit, please give credit to cooljunk productions. Thank you.

I took a gunshot, put a little bit of flanger on it and then rolled off the highs of an explosion and layered that underneath. I also added a few other effects to give it that fluttery sound in the end.

I was putting together a new under-bed storage crate and noticed the wheels made this awesome sound, almost like a laser gun or something. This sounds were a mix of different recorded with tascam dr07,the sounds were achieved from:. --blowing on a sponge--swiping a finger on the wall--waving a cardboard for the low sound--dragging a brush on the wall--air sounds with pich bend effects and modulation fx. The sounds were mixed and edited in adobe audition.

As already stated, he term, "pyew!" does not refer to a funky smell. Think of it as the sound bernadette (from big bang theory) makes when she's playing video games and trying to phonetically approximate the single shot of a ray gun or laser weapon. I've fiddled with this sound for a while, its 22 layers of base tones, atmosphere and static blended together to create a heavy, powerful sounding beam weapon. The finish is a slowed, lowered and reverberated tone from a french horn.
